This soap is one of my favorites to emerge from the Experimental soap project. Several months ago I blended a lavender based scent with citrus, cedar, coriander and creamy vanilla. It smelled great and became one of my most requested soaps. The only problem was - I didn't take great notes when blending the scent (lesson learned).
It took several iterations to achieve the original balance of floral, citrus, and woods. The result is Lavender & Tonka. It uses a rich, camphorous lavender that is balanced by sharp texas cedar, bright bergamot, and creamy tonka bean. The citrusy & spicy coriander EO ties all of the elements together. The scent is a paradox of mood - both calming and invigorating at the same time.
