Several people have asked me what the future is for these Experimental soaps once my Seaforth line is launched in the fall. The reality is that I'm not sure. The Experimental line was started as a way to develop the soap base for Seaforth. Now that the base is settled these soaps are less in line with the spirit of developing the soap base (although they are still experimental in the sense that I am trying out different scents).
I still have labels, tubs and fragrance oils that haven't been used, so I do plan to release some more Experimental soaps in the 20.1 base. And for now I plan to keep the price the same at $9.99 per tub.
Beyond that, I'm really not sure. I would love to offer great and inexpensive soaps regularly because I think growing the niche is important. That may be a separate project someday, but it would take some work to get the costs and pricing in line. But for now, I still plan to release some soaps under the Experimental label, including this one...
Now onto the important stuff... I'm really enjoying this scent and if I had more of the oils on hand I would have made more than 10 soaps. Ardennes is inspired by Bracken Man by Amouage. It's a fresh aromatic fougere, made more interesting with earth and spice notes.
